Sunday Evening

We’d travelled far off the Spanish coast and were somewhere deep in the Mediterranean.

“How much did all this cost?”, I said running my hand along the black leather material of the couch I was sitting on. We were on the main deck in the captain’s quarters now. Sean had taught me how to operate the yacht only moments ago. And in a word, it was breathtaking.

“65 million smackaroos”, Sean said gleefully, with a grin. He’d driven the yacht far out to sea, to the point that I could no longer see the coastline anymore. I let out a loud whistle, my eyes silently scanning the layout of the boat. Every corner of the yacht was beautifully and meticulously crafted.

“Only?”, I teased, arching my eyebrows as my lips curved deviously.

“I got it at a discount, they made me an offer I couldn’t refuse”, Sean replied, flashing me his pearly whites in a playful grin.

We’d had a spectacular candle-lit dinner of some seafood and wine. Red lobster, pasta, and a fancy bottle of Merlot. At least that’s what Sean called it. And now we were just lounging and messing around in the control room.

It was just boundless blue water on all sides of the boat now, and the soft orange glow of the sun far out in the distance. The sea-gulls were out cawing and complaining as usual in the cool sea breeze, and I was feeling cozier than I had ever felt in a long time.

“I love the way you smile”, Sean said, turning to look at me as I felt myself blush under his intense gaze.

“You probably tell that to all the women you meet, don’t ya?”, I said playfully.

“Only to those who deserve it.”, he replied, shifting himself closer toward me. He was wearing a muscle shirt that showed off his exquisite biceps. Each time he moved it was oddly satisfying watching them flex.

“How many guys have you been in a relationship with? I’m sure a good looking girl like you has a closet full of exes”, he cheekily asked.

“Nope, I’ve only dated once in high school. I wasn’t really into boys much then.”, I replied, feeling the heat rise in me as his forearm accidentally brushed along my knee.

“You know to be quite honest, I’ve been thinking about you non-stop ever since we met.”, Sean said as his finger traced my hairline alongside my right temple. I felt my heart begin to flutter wildly under his touch. I felt my skin smolder underneath his gaze.

“Have you now?”, I managed to breathe.

“I’ve wanted you so badly since the moment I saw you, to the point that I had to hold myself back, to keep myself from losing you.”, Sean said, the look in his eyes had a hunger. The same type of hunger that was mirrored in me.

“I’ve wanted you too.”, I whispered, as his finger gently lifted my chin toward him. I was staring into his piercing gaze that seemed to split my soul in two. I bit my lower lip in anticipation as he moved closer toward me.
